Two other victims killed by the armed robbers were said to be hit by stray bullets while a number of people sustained various degrees of injury while trying to flee the scene.

It was gathered the robbers carted away a substantial amount of money.

An eye witness account revealed a police task force raced to the scene but missed the robbers by whiskers.

The eyewitness further revealed the police team gave the robbers, who made their escape route through a road leading to Oke-Ila and Ora Igbomina in Ifedayo Local Government Area of the state, a hot chase.

A police source, not authorised to speak on the incident, confirmed an armed gang attacked the bank but said the police would not want to reveal their findings now “for security reasons.“
