The police has apprehended a man for allegedly sexually assaulting his three stepdaughters.
According to reports, the man who is 37 years old had sexual intercourse with the 3 girls aged 16, 18 and 20. He did the act both at home and also inside the bush and ended up impregnating one of them.
It was gathered that the Ghanaian known as Abraham Tetteh allegedly administered drug to her in a bid to abort the pregnancy.
Police at Twifo Damang, near Twifo Praso, Ghana which confirmed the incident said the man will be prosecuted on charges of incest, abortion, and defilement.
According to them, upon receipt of the information, they proceeded to Mbaa Mpe Hia No. 2 and arrested the suspect on Tuesday at about 05:00hrs when the elders of the village had met to resolve the matter.
He confirmed to committing the act during interrogation, the Police said, adding when they arrived at the village, the elders had met on the issue.
Tetteh is now assisting the Police with investigations into the case.
The victims have been issued with police medical report forms for medical examination at a government health facility and report back to the Police with the results.
