EL Chapo has been jailed for life as jurors find him guilty in all 10 counts in the biggest drug trafficking trial of all time.
The decision was announced by note Tuesday after more than five days of deliberation — during which jurors asked the judge to review witness testimony and questions about the charges against Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, 61.
This follows an 11-week trial, where the panel of eight women and four men heard prosecutors attempt to prove El Chapo was guilty of running a continuing criminal enterprise and other charges, as the leader of the Sinaloa Cartel.
If convicted on the top count, he faces up to life behind bars.
If acquitted, Guzman faces trial in at least six other similar indictments across the US.
