A married female teacher, from Arizona, USA, who allegedly romped with her 13-year-old pupil fears life in jail, claiming fellow inmates would “tear me apart”.
Brittany Zamora, 28, was arrested after her victim’s horrified parents found nude images and explicit material on his phone.
Newly released police bodycam footage obtained by KPNX, shows the smiling teacher taken into custody by police in March while wearing a dress with a plunging neckline beneath a lacy vest.
She has admitted having sex with the teen at least four times between February 1 and March 8 last year.
In one instance she is performed a sex act on him in her car – and again in a classroom.
On another occasion she contacted him at midnight and drove to his grandparents’ house so he could sneak out to be with her.
She is also accused of sending the boy nude photos of herself and other sexually explicit messages.
In the video, she asks an officer :“Can you put my hair in front of my face?” before being led out in front of reporters.
Later, while in an interrogation room, Zamora quickly shut down an investigator’s request for her to explain “why it happened,” telling the officer she had nothing to say without legal representation.
She asked: “Can I have an attorney?”
She also told the officer that she was concerned about her safety behind bars, citing her petite frame. She added: “I’m little. They’re gonna tear me apart.”
The police bodycam videos also contain interviews with the boy’s parents, who said their son lost his innocence during the alleged encounters with Zamora that took place between February and March.
Zamora and the teen also traded naked photos, he told police.
Zamora, who is due back in court in May, has pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including felony sexual conduct with a minor and molesting a child.
During a recorded phone call with the parents of the victim, Zamora apologised, telling them that she intended to resign her position.
The teen’s parents are now seeking £1.9 million in damages, according to the lawsuit filed to Maricopa County Superior Court last month.
