A young man who was killed in Abonnema community in Akuku-Toru Local Council of Rivers State, following the violence which rocked the area in the just concluded presidential and national assembly elections, has been laid to rest.
The deceased identified as Frank Kelly Jack, was buried today amid tears at his hometown in Abonnema. He was allegedly shot dead by soldiers during the elections.
Residents in the town claimed that over 20 persons were killed during the disturbances between the military and rival political thugs that brought the polls to an abrupt end.
