Cristiano Ronaldo has been passed fit to play for Juventus in their Champions League quarter-final first leg at Ajax on Wednesday. And the Portuguese superstar looked cool as a cucumber after getting the all-clear by posing in designer sunglasses on the team plane.
Ronaldo was rested by the Turin club after his sensational hat-trick against Atletico Madrid in the last round of the Champions League on March 12.
But he picked up a thigh strain while on national team duty with Portugal last month and was touch-and-go for the Ajax game.
Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri at the weekend said he was confident the 34-year-old would be ready for Wednesday’s game in Amsterdam.
Although he did admit CR7 would still need to pass a late fitness test.
