Two police officers have been issued a 10-day ultimatum to produce two of three persons who escaped from jail at Prampram near Tema in the Greater Accra Region, Ghana.
One convict and two suspects in custody were said to have absconded from the Prampram police cells.
Sergeant Philip Poyare and Constable Gloria Amexo who were said to be on duty at the time of the incident have been directed by the District Police commander to produce suspects or face disciplinary action.
According to the police, they were alerted by Cyber Boakye, an inmate of the cells that three of his colleagues in the cells passed through the ceiling and escaped.
Immediately, they called policemen on duty at the barrier at the outskirts of Prampram to assist them enter the cells which they did and lo and behold three of the inmates including Samuel Pardie, Victor Fiagbenu both remand prisoners appearing before court and Michael Nartey a convict prisoner had escaped.
