The United States has honoured another Nigerian, Angel Adelaja who is doing something really great in the agricultural sector.

She is the owner of Fresh Direct Nigeria, a company that is very concerned with the production of food produce. The wonderful thing about what she does is that she does a kind of farming that is known as hydroponics, a crop growing system that does not need soil. Another thing is that though the farming does not use the kind of water the traditional type uses, it produces 15 times more than normal farming.

Since the inception of the company in 2014, Adelaja has been helping communities without land access. She returned to Nigeria from America with the aim of contributing to the nutrition-consciousness of Nigerians.

Her strong passion for healthy food inspired her vision to go into training rural farmers, youths, and women how to grow vegetables devoid of harmful chemicals.
