A man identified as Winston Bright was reported missing by his wife Leslie, in October 1990. Owing to the duration of his disappearance, his wife presumed him dead only for him to shock her recently with his return. Not only did he return after 24 years, court documents in New York disclosed that he actually sued his wife for his pension.
Initially, Leslie spent her days crying. After 10 years passed, she lost hope and she asked a court to declare her husband legally dead. In a bid to cater for the three children left behind by her husband, Leslie with the help of the legal documents obtained from the court began collecting her husband’s pension from Verizon only for Winston to suddenly appear from the blue unexpectedly.
Sooner than later, Winston filed a petition to recover his pension that his wife used to cater for their children all the while he was away. The man who was speculated to have suffered serious amnesia told the court that he neither knew how he got to California nor how he got back home.
His wife Leslie who was not happy with the development said, “All he talked about was his money.” Meanwhile, Winston who worked as a teacher in San Diego, California changed his name to Kwame Seku.
How would you have reacted if you were in her shoes?
