Popular music producer, Samklef has called on Nigerian youths to nominate and sponsor a candidate in the forthcoming Presidential elections come 2023, just like they collectively supported various BBNaija housemates this year.
Samklef made this call via his official Twitter page today September 24, while reacting to the state of the nation, particularly about the aftermath of Edo State’s recently concluded gubernatorial election.
Taking to Twitter, Samklef said it would be a good idea if an independent pro youth presidential candidate would be unanimously chosen and sponsored to victory “since our leader have failed us” – probably referring the aged in Nigeria’s politics.
Samklef also suggested that a GoFundMe account be created for the purpose of funding such a political cause.
In a code switched and code mixed Pidgin-English language, the ace producer, social media personality and blogger wrote;
“I hope say next presidential election, we go nominate one person to support fully even if na independent candidate. We go run am like we did for Laycon and others, and even set up a go-fund me account to assist his or her presidential bid.
Since our politicians don fail us, let’s nominate and sponsor our candidate by ourselves and run the campaign like we did for the big brother contestants.”
