A popular twitter user known as Aproko doctor tweeted that Kpomo a favorite delicacy of many Nigerians in the west has no nutritional value.
For many years, this has been an argument for many people that Kpomo has no nutritional value. The doctor had tweeted and he got a response from one who carried out his own research below:
Dear Aproko Doctor, I’d have to strongly disagree with you on this one. I did my own small personal research and it turns out 100g of boiled kpomo contains about 224.65kcal of energy, 6.80g of carbohydrate, about 43.9g of water, 46.9g of protein, 1.09g of fat, and 0.02g of fibre. https://t.co/cARu1L7C1U

The man went further to explain to the doctor the nutritional value of Kpomo

Another nutritionist confirmed what @chemicalbroda said earlier:
You are right.
Collagen is complex protein structure.
I studied food science and tech.
Most of the food these doctors claim are useless is a big lie
I will agree if someone says in some foods, nutritional components are small.
NOT USELESS!!

What do you think? Do you think Kpomo is useless or has a nutritional value based on what you just learnt or unlearned?
