Popular singer, Reekado Banks is currently getting rave reviews for his new song ‘Ozumba Mbadiwe’. The groovy tune is presently one of the trending songs at the moment.

When asked about the inspiration behind the song’s unusual title, Banks said: “I have seen Ozumba Mbadiwe road more than I have seen many things. I have been on this road so many times so you can imagine why it would inspire me.

The road is always busy. When people were looking for me asking for where I was? I only could relate to Ozumba Mbadiwe road. I am just as busy as Ozumba.I am busy working on myself. Unfortunately, the shooting of the peaceful protesters happened on this same road. It just makes sense to talk about what concerns me and concerns all of us. I am just happy that everybody can relate to the message of the song”, he told Hip Tv.
The ‘Oluwa ni’ crooner who was once signed to the Don Jazzy led Mavin Records also shed light on his reason for exiting the record label in 2018.

Asked why he left, he said: “In life you have to find new adventures. You can’t just want to be in’SS3’ for life. You want to try something else. It took me sometime to  figure out in all honesty. But we are here now”.
