Fans were treated to awe-inspiring performances by a constellation of hip hop stars during the halftime show of the 56th Super Bowl at the SoFi Stadium, California in the early hours of today.

The teeming crowd at the stadium were dazzled with back-to-back hits from the discographies of Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J Blige, 50 Cent and Kendrick Lamar — the show headliners.

The 15-minute long show of music and culture was shoe-horned into the middle-way point of the National Football League (NFL) final game of the season between Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengal, which the former won 23-21.

The performance kicked off with Dr Dre emerging from the floor while seated in front of a giant mixing desk.

After a few minutes of displaying his magic on the production table, the super-producer announced Snoop Dog as the first performer.

Snoop sent the full capacity stadium into rancorous cheers as he belched out the lyrics of ‘The Next Episode.’

The cameras then slid down to reveal 50 Cent hung upside-down from a stage below.
