Unemployed father, Peter Nash charged with murders of his wife Jilu Nash and daughter Louise Nash
TSB News reports that a father accused of killing his wife and 12-year-old daughter has appeared in court today.
Peter Nash, 46, was charged with murder after his wife Jillu Nash, 43, and his autistic daughter Louise, who had autism, were found dead at their two-bedroom home near Sudbury, Suffolk in September.
The man was seen at Norwich Magistrates Court today hunched over a walking frame as he shuffled into the secure dock.
Suffolk Police said a Home Office post-mortem examination found that his daughter was found with a single stab wound to the abdomen and his wife died of pressure on the neck.
The bearded defendant, who had short white hair and wore a black T-shirt and jogging bottoms, was remanded in custody to appear at Ipswich Crown Court later on Monday.
At the crown court hearing, Judge Martyn Levett adjourned proceedings part-heard after delays.
The hearing will resume at midday on Tuesday at Ipswich Crown Court.
