Family of Ex-Arsenal star, Jose Antonio Reyes who died in a car accident are facing eviction’ with three of his properties ‘set to go up for auctionThe family of former Arsenal star Jose Antonio Reyes are reportedly at risk of being evicted as a result of serious financial issues following the former striker’s death.
The footballer was killed along with his 23-year-old cousin while another man suffered serious burns when the vehicle they were travelling in overturned and burst into flames in Utrera, the town where Reyes was born, just outside Seville.
He was reportedly on his way home after training, having not been picked by his current club Extremadura to play against Cádiz in June 2019, according to Spanish media.

Now, though, three properties that the players owned are set to go up for auction in the coming days, including the home of his parents, who are now facing eviction on June 26 by court order.
It had been reported previously by Diario AS that his family were unable to pay the mortgages on the three properties owned by Reyes.
The player’s parents are reportedly in constant contact with lawyers as they claim they have been kept in the dark over what is happening.
Their home is thought to be worth around £256,000, with another Utrera apartment worth around £128,000, although it is unknown how much the third property is thought to be valued at.
As a result of his death, he had no will in place. His assets then transferred to his three children as his primary beneficiaries, but given that they were minors, those then passed on in turn to his wife Noelia Lopez.
Lopez, too, admits that she had no idea about the issue facing the family, and revealed that she has had to come to terms with the issue without the assistance of Reyes’ extended family.
‘I am finding out everything, and I am assimilating it,’ she said of the news.
The ex-Arsenal star’s death reportedly created a rift between her and the player’s family, and Lopez has reportedly since moved to Jaen to be closer to her own family, with her two daughters from her marriage with Reyes.
Lopez admitted that she rarely has anything to do with her late husband’s finances, claiming: ‘I have always been on the sidelines of my husband’s financial affairs.’
