Mercy Eke Issued A Strike For Multiple Microphone Infringement

In a shocking turn of events, Big Brother Naija has issued a first strike to one of its most popular contestants, Mercy Eke. This comes after a series of warning given by Big Brother.

The incident that led to Mercy’s strike revolved around the house’s microphone rules, which have been made crystal clear in Article 16, Sub-article 3 of the house rule book. This article outlines the importance of adhering to microphone usage guidelines and the dire consequences that can befall contestants who repeatedly or intentionally flout them.

Mercy is not the only contestant who has found themselves in the crosshairs of Big Brother’s disciplinary actions. Several other housemates have also faced strikes for various reasons. Ilebaye, for instance, was handed two strikes for physical violence, having laid her hands on fellow contestants Ceec and Doyin.

Ceec, on the other hand, earned a strike for her provocative behavior. Ike, who has since been evicted, received a strike for bullying, while Soma found himself on the wrong side of the rules with a strike for harassing Angel and making an offensive gesture toward the camera.

Ex Best Friends Mercy Eke And Venita Akpofure Unfollow Each Other

Recall that earlier today, TSB had reported that Mercy Eke and Venita Akpofure had unfollowed each other. The duo who initially had seemed inseparable, seemed to have fallen out.

As contestants in the Big Brother Naija house, Mercy Eke and Venita shared a unique journey. However, their friendship appeared to have soured over time, with tensions escalating inside the house.

The breaking point of this friendship seemed to come when Venita nominated Mercy for eviction. Venita took it a step further by trying to persuade other housemates to do the same.

Reacting to this, the handler of Mercy Eke’s social media account promptly unfollowed Venita on instagram. Venita’s handler not to be outdone, reciprocated the gesture by unfollowing Mercy as well.
