A TikTok love story has gone tragically wrong after the man appeared in court accused of murdering his fellow influencer.
TikTok stars Mateus Johannes, 28, and Claudia Kambanza, 22, wowed their followers with videos showing their supposedly perfect romance.
Johannes has appeared in court charged with murdering Claudia.
She was found stabbed in Hinderwell Street, off Princes Avenue, around 3am a week ago on Friday and died in hospital.
Claudia’s family has paid tribute to her via a statement published by Humberside Police.
They said: ‘Claudia was a kind and bubbly warm-hearted person, who wasn’t afraid of challenges and always wanted good for other people.
‘She always loved to cook and host people. She had an accommodative spirit and was a people’s person.’
Johannes has been accused of murdering Claudia in Hull, East Yorkshire.
Claudia and Johannes are said to have regularly appeared online together since relocating to the UK from Namibia.
It is claimed they raked in a fortune from their appearances, featuring glimpses of their lives and happy outings as a couple.
Johannes, of no fixed address, appeared at Hull Crown Court charged with her murder earlier in the week.
He was remanded in custody and will appear again before the same court on 28 March.
