“No one can work that hard, we have been lied to” – Seun Kuti reacts to Forbes’ world richest men list 2024

Nigerian singer and youngest son of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti, Seun Anikulapo Kuti has shared his opinions on the list of world richest men, recently released by global media company, Forbes.

As usual, Forbes has released its annual list of the world’s billionaires and in 2024, there are more people on the list than ever – and they’re richer than ever.

There are 141 more billionaires in the world than last year, with 2,781 in total. Their combined worth equals $14.2 trillion – up by $2 trillion in 2023.

The richest men include, Bernard Arnault, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Ellison, Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, and lots more.

It is worth noting that Aliko Dangote worth $13.4B, Mike Adenuga worth $6.7B, Abdulsamad Rabiu worth $5.2B, and Femi Otedola worth $1.4b enter Forbes 2024 list of Richest people in the world.

According to Seun Kuti, the world five richest men increased their wealth to a combined total of $869billion since lockdown in 2020.

He, however, revealed that the richest men can comfortably spend $1million in the next 476 years, stating that no one can work that hard.

He wrote, “The world 5 richest men, since lockdown, have increased their wealth to a combined total of 869bn US dollars”.

“That means they can spend 1 million dollars a day for the next 476 years. No one can work that hard. We have been lied to.”
