Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has taken to Instagram to address his twin brother, Paul Okoye, aka Rudeboy, in a heartfelt open letter.
Peter expressed frustration over Paul’s repeated attempts to undermine his contributions to their former group, P-Square.
In the letter, Peter accused Paul of discrediting his efforts in the group they co-founded and nurtured to stardom. He refuted claims made by Paul in recent interviews, where Paul had downplayed Peter’s role, claiming responsibility for 99% of P-Square’s success.
Peter highlighted that despite Paul’s claims, he had written and contributed to many of the group’s hit songs, including “Get Squared,” “Bizzy Body,” and “Personally.”
He criticized Paul for failing to acknowledge these contributions and instead focusing on a single song, “Ejeajo,” which didn’t perform as well as others.
Peter also lamented the impact of their ongoing feud on their fans and questioned whether their solo careers have achieved the same success as P-Square did.
He noted that despite their reconciliation in 2021, which gave fans hope for a P-Square revival, Paul recently declared in an interview that P-Square is “no more.”
