The Federal government, yesterday, terminated their contract with Bi-Courtney on the expansion & repair work on the Lagos – Ibadan expressway. The contract which was awarded in 2009 was rescinded due to the failure of the company to reach financial close as provided for in the agreement.
This action comes on the heels of a promise made by the President to fix the Lagos-Ibadan expressway during a media chat over the weekend.
Hope this ends the spate of fatal accidents that has plagued this road for ages.
It is very good to know the President responds to issues raised during the media chats. Kudos to GEJ on this one!
