Popular Nigerian media personality, Nedu Wazobia, has officially resigned from The Honest Bunch Podcast, citing intense scrutiny and false accusations that have taken a toll on him. His announcement comes amid a swirling controversy involving sex-for-roles allegations, leaving many wondering about the full story.

In a heartfelt statement shared on Instagram on February 14, 2025, Nedu reflected on his journey with the podcast and why he chose to step away.

“Hosting The Honest Bunch Podcast has been an incredible journey—one built on open conversations, bold perspectives, and tackling difficult topics. But the recent wave of scrutiny, antagonism, and unfounded accusations has become overwhelming.”

He emphasized that while the decision was tough, it was necessary for his peace of mind and the integrity of the show.

“I have always been committed to honest conversations, but when those conversations lead to relentless attacks and misrepresentation, stepping back is the best path forward.”

His resignation follows allegations made by social media critic Martins Ortse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, who accused Nedu of inappropriate demands from female content creator Jojo in exchange for roles. The claims emerged during a heated online feud between VeryDarkMan and comedian Deeone, who had earlier alleged that VeryDarkMan was gay. In retaliation, VeryDarkMan vowed to expose celebrities who had allegedly engaged in such transactions with Nedu.
