Veteran Nollywood actor John Amaefule has been hospitalised after suffering a stroke. According to fellow actor Stanley Ontop, who shared the news on Instagram, Amaefule was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Owerri, Imo State.
Reports indicate that the stroke has affected the left side of his brain, resulting in right-sided weakness. His family is urgently appealing for financial assistance to cover his medical expenses.
Amaefule requires several critical tests, including a lipid panel test, hemoglobin A1c test, electrolyte urea, and creatinine test.
Stanley Ontop wrote: “Nollywood veteran actor John Amaefule was rushed to the hospital this morning in Owerri after suffering a stroke. His family is pleading with Nigerians for support. He is currently at FMC Owerri, and they need funds to save him. The stroke has affected the left side of his brain, likely causing right-sided weakness. Urgent tests, including lipid panel, hemoglobin A1c, electrolyte urea, and creatinine tests, are needed.”
