Lawmakers accused Governor Fubara of financial mismanagement, alleging that he has spent public funds without necessary approvals, violating legal and procedural guidelines.

The Assembly claims that the governor has actively hindered legislative duties, making it difficult for them to perform their constitutional roles.
“The governor has continually undermined our constitutional role, making it difficult for us to carry out our responsibilities effectively,” an unnamed lawmaker stated.

Legislators also criticized the governor for appointing individuals to key government positions without proper screening and confirmation by the House.
“This blatant disregard for due process is unacceptable,” another lawmaker remarked.
