Popular Nigerian comedian, Josh2Funny, has responded to backlash from fans—particularly followers of controversial online personality VeryDarkMan—demanding that he drop fellow comedian Deeone from his hit skit series, The Audition.
In a no-holds-barred post, Josh2Funny stood his ground, emphasizing that Deeone has been a foundational part of the show since its inception in 2017.
“Those saying I should get Deeone off my show, it won’t work,” he stated. “Deeone and I played a key role in the show. He turns up for me anytime I need him.”
He also reminded critics that The Audition has a global audience and isn’t tailored to a particular group of viewers.
“Nigerians are not the only ones who watch my show, The Audition, so I can’t take him out because you are a ‘ratel’. Enjoy the show or scroll. I’m not saying you must like him, but my show is comedy, not rants.”
The comedian made it clear that while feedback is welcome, creative decisions remain his to make, especially when it comes to a platform built on laughter, loyalty, and originality.
