Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has stirred conversation online with her heartfelt opinion on Davido’s latest business venture — a newly opened restaurant. While many fans have congratulated the Afrobeats star on his growing empire, Sarah believes the restaurant would have been more meaningful if it had been launched in honour of his wife, Chioma.
In her candid take, Sarah shared:
“I honestly feel Davido’s restaurant should have been opened for Chioma, or probably one in her name. We’ve always known Chioma to be a passionate chef. This is coming from a place of love because I am a huge fan of OBO.”
Chioma, widely known and admired for her culinary skills — especially after her viral cooking videos and appearances during Davido’s earlier career — has long been associated with food and fine dining. Fans often reminisce about her signature dish, “Chef Chi’s jollof rice,” which once trended online.
Sarah’s comment, which she emphasized was made out of love and admiration for the superstar couple, has sparked mixed reactions on social media. While some agree with her sentiment, praising Chioma’s talents and suggesting she deserves more recognition in Davido’s ventures, others argue that their private decisions should be respected and using OBO’s kitchen is a strategy by the couple.
Davido has yet to respond publicly to Sarah’s comment.
