Viral campaign sends Victoria Beckham to No1 in charts for first time ever as Britain sides with her after dance humiliation by son Brooklyn

Victoria Beckham has bagged her first ever solo number one after a huge social media campaign pushed her to the top of the chart.

Days after her eldest son Brooklyn posted his scathing six-page statement in which he claimed his mother danced ‘inappropriately’ at his 2022 wedding, an extraordinary social media campaign has given one of her solo songs a huge chart boost.

Victoria‘s 2001 single Not Such An Innocent Girl, a track which showcased Posh Spice’s raunchy dance moves, has shot to number one on the iTunes chart in the UK and Ireland.

The chart positions have been driven by a social media campaign which is determined to ‘fix the national tragedy’ that ‘Victoria is the only Spice Girl without a solo #1.’

‘Nothing says “British Culture” like collectively deciding to send Posh to the top of the charts because her son roasted her on Insta. Imagine both their faces,’ reads a viral post on Instagram which has been shared by the likes of Katherine Ryan and Luisa Zissman.

Victoria’s youngest son Cruz also helped with the promo effort, using his mum’s song to soundtrack one of his Instagram Stories on Thursday.

The Instagram account Our_dream_house writes: ‘I’ve seen more VB music promo in the last 24 hours than in the last 20 years and I am obsessed. Let’s get her that #1 for the plot twist of the year.

‘Download “Not Such An Innocent Girl”. We are unhinged. Stream Posh. It’s a national emergency.’

After Posh reached number one the Insta delightedly declared: ‘WE ACTUALLY DID IT. Posh Spice finally has her solo #1 and the universe is finally in balance. Proof that you should never underestimate the British public when we decide to commit to a bit.’

‘From a roast to the top of the charts VICTORIA WE LOVE YOU. History has been made. National tragedy: OVER.’

Victoria fans will have until 6pm Friday to wait and see if the track charts in the top 100 on the Official Singles Chart.

It comes after 65 per cent of Daily Mail readers said they would back ‘Team Beckham’ over ‘Team Brooklyn’ in Tuesday’s Poll of the Day which attracted 26,000 votes.

The mum of four is said to have been left ‘devastated’ after taking the brunt in the vicious family fallout with son Brooklyn and Nicola.

Despite proudly declaring he was a once a ‘mama’s boy’, Brooklyn focused mainly on Lady Beckham in his lengthy statement, with his vitriolic comments leaving her ‘on the floor in pieces’.

Amongst Brooklyn’s long list of claims was the accusation that his mum ‘hijacked’ his first dance at his 2022 wedding and ‘danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone’.
