The Deputy High Commissioner of Sierra Leone in Nigeria, Maj. Gen. Alfred Nelson William, who was kidnapped along Abuja- Kaduna last Friday, has regained his freedom. Willliam was rescued by the police on Tuesday and has reunited with the High Commission and his family.The Force Public Relations, Donald Awunah, confirmed it last night in an SMS.The police however did not say if ransom was paid for the envoy’s release or not.
His abductors had earlier demanded N30m ransom during negotiations with embassy officials.
