Some members of a notorious robbery gang stripped unclad and chopped off the ear of the Divisional Police Officer at Ajali in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State for attempting to arrest members of their notorious gang during a raid on their hideout recently.
Speaking on the incident, the state’s police command’s spokesperson, Awkuzu Okechukwu, said the DPO had led a team of police officers to the robbers den in Nanka community when he was attacked.Awkuzu added that the DPO, who narrowly escaped death, is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
