Two sisters have been found dead in a luxury villa in the Seychelles with no signs of violence.Annie and Robin Korkki, from Minnesota, were staying at their villa at the Maia Luxury Resort and Spa, where their bodies were found last Thursday. But police said there were no signs of violence or trauma to the women’s bodies, according to Mail Online. The last time they were seen alive was when they were helped to their rooms by staff at 8.15pm after a day of drinking.
A butler checked on their room the following morning and found the sliding doors locked. He later raised his concerns to a supervisor after the sisters failed to emerge as the day went on.
The two were found unresponsive on the same bed with no signs of disturbance in the room, police said.Certain medications were confiscated for investigation. They were due to return home on September 22, but decided to extend their stay for two more days on the tropical island off the coast of Africa. Both sisters had shared photos of their dream holiday on Facebook.
One photo showed the beautiful view from their villa that costs up to $1,800 (around £1,380) per night, calling it ‘indescribable’.
Their brother, Chris Korkki, told The Star-Tribune they ‘wanted to experience life to the fullest’.
