President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday approved the appointment of a former chief justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi, as the chairman of the National Conference.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the secretary to the government of the federation (SGF), Chief Anyim Pius Anyim yesterday. According to the statement , other leaders of the National Conference are Prof. Bolaji Akinyemi as vice chairman and Dr Valerie Azinge as secretary. The statement added that the appointees are to start work in Abuja tomorrow and that they would be received on arrival by the SGF for further necessary action.
