The International Day of Happiness is celebrated throughout the world on 20 March. It was established by the United Nations General Assembly on 28 June 2012. Pop star Pharrell is teaming up with the United Nations Foundation to celebrate the International Day of Happiness Thursday. This is the second year for the ‘holiday,’ which encourages everyone to feel and be happy. Pharrell is asking his fans to to post videos of themselves “dancing, singing or just being happy” to YouTube and Instagram while listening to his hit song Happy, off the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack.
