Just yesterday, Peaches Geldof posted the picture above of her as a child on Twitter and Instagram, in the arms of her mother Paula Yates. The 25-year-old wrote ‘me and mum’ alongside the image in a tragic final post just 24 hours before she was found dead at her home in Kent. . Peaches was just 11-years old when her mother was died after a heroin overdose.
The married mother of two young sons, who often spoke of how she struggled to come to terms with her own mother’s death from a heroin overdose in 2000, was found by police at her house in Wrotham, Kent, at 1.35pm. Kent Police described the death as ‘sudden’ and ‘unexplained’.
Peaches’s heartbroken father Bob Geldof said: ‘Peaches has died. We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing ‘was’ destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable?
