Ebola Virus: CNN Faces Social Media Backlash As They Erroneously Label Niger As Nigeria

Yesterday, CNN aired a report concerning the spread of the Ebola virus in Western Africa and claimed that there were 1,603 cases, 887 deaths and 55% fatality rate. To highlight the countries affected including Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia, they “accidentally” labelled Niger as Nigeria while using the colour red to highlight the country. This costly mistake has triggered a social media backlash. Check out some
