NMA calls Off Strike, Directs Doctors To Resume On Monday

The Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, has suspended its over two-month old strike. Its President,  Kayode Obembe, said the association’s delegates resolved to suspend the industrial action in the interest of the ongoing public health issues in the country.He therefore directed all Nigerian doctors to report to work on Monday.

The Doctors had been sharply divided over whether or not to suspend the strike in the face of outbreak of the Ebola virus in Nigeria.
