Tyler Perry reportedly let loose a secret that he is gay and is now expecting his first child with a mystery boyfriend. The news allegedly came out at the entertainment mogul’s 45th birthday, where sources say he told friends that he was expecting his first child. The star-studded event took place at Perry’s home in Hollywood, and a guest at the party later shared details with gossip outlet MediaTakeOut.
The report noted:
First, according to a source at the event – Tyler Perry announced that he was becoming a FATHER. The insider explained, “Everyone clapped when they heard the news.”
But then the BIG surprise.
You see, the woman who is carrying his child, 28 year old Ethiopian model Gelila Bekele was at the event – WITH HER BOYFRIEND. So it was CLEAR AS HECK that the pregnancy is the result of an ARRANGEMENT.
The source added that Tyler Perry was seen with his boyfriend, an unidentified man with whom he seemed very close.
“Tyler’s boyfriend was a muscular lite skinned man, fine as you could imagine. Tyler wasn’t even trying to pretend… they were BOO’D up all night,” the source said. “Tyler is very private. I’ve always HEARD he was gay, but I’ve never seen him out publicly with a boyfriend.”
Tyler Perry later shared with fans some details of the party, though he didn’t address the gay rumors.
“I had never thrown myself a birthday party, so for my 45th I wanted to do something special,” he posted on Monday.
Tyler Perry also shared details of the many performers who were on hand to make the celebration even more special.
“Jennifer Holliday, Desiree Coleman Jackson, Tevin Campbell, Ledisi, Monica, Jazmine Sullivan, Tamia, Mary Mary, LeAnn Rimes, Yolanda Adams, Rachelle Ferrell and Stevie Wonder brought the house down,” Perry posted.
Perry also used his milestone birthday to help people in need, making a $45,000 donation to Young People Matter, and Atlanta shelter for girls under age 18. The source at the birthday party added that Tyler Perry has still only come out to close friends, and may not have plans to tell the rest of the world he is gay.
