A furious store owner Mei Hsueh, 39, metted out a bizarre punishment to Yu Chung, 28, who was caught stealing clothes at her shop – she was stripped! The shop owner later told police she was simply handing out a punishment, claiming stripping the thief of her top layer of clothing had prevented her from running away. Read what the shop owner said below:
“This thief was trying to steal my clothes to I took off some of hers. She’ll think twice before she does that again. It was meant to be a warning to all those thieves out there to show them that not all shops are a pushover.”
The shop owner first pulled off the shoplifter’s top before wrenching her bra off her and bundling her into the street. At one point the young woman falls to the floor and grabs the legs of her tormentor, begging her to give her back her bra so she can cover herself from the crowd gathering to watch the spectacle.
Spokesman Chi Tuan said:
“Yu has been charged with theft. No action is being taken against the shop owner.”
Wow! What humiliation for the thief. BTW, isn’t this a form of “jungle justice”? Do you think the shop owner should be charged?
