We all know that slicing a watermelon can be quite a tricky job however one crafty vlogger has revealed a way of skinning the large fruit. YouTube star Mark Rober, uploaded the video demonstrating his technique to a group of children.
At the beginning of the clip Mark removes each half of the watermelon shell to reveal a whole ‘skinned’ fruit inside.
The process actually involves using two watermelons of a similar size. You begin by slicing the skin from the first melon and then smoothing it with scrubbing pads
The video has received more than 18,000 views since its upload a week ago. On it Mark explains that the second melon will be used purely for its shell
Mark demonstrates that all the flesh must be removed in order for the skinned melon to fit inside the shell
The melon then appears to be skinned and can be taken to a party as an impressive edible centerpiece
