50 Cent has filed a lawsuit against Rick Ross for using his famous song In Da Club and rapping over it without permission. The 40-year-old filed the lawsuit against Ross, 39, in Connecticut after he featured the hit on his new album, Renzel Remixes. The star was aiming to drum up publicity with the stunt, TMZ reported on Thursday.

50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, wants $2 million from Ross in damages. This isn’t the first time the two rappers have been pitted against one another in a legal battle. Earlier this year, Jackson was sued by Ross, real name William Leonard Roberts II, for uploading a 2008 sex tape featuring his baby’s mother, Lastonia Leviston.

Jackson can be heard narrating the 13-minute video, taunting his rival Ross. For that, he was slapped with a $7 million judgement, according to TMZ. Jackson’s attorney James S. Renard, told People in a statement at the time:

‘Although we appreciate the jury’s service, we are disappointed in the result.’
