Rapper 50 Cent has now taken to instagram to plead with Rock to turn down his role as the host for the Oscars after “coloured” actors failed to get nominated for the awards for the second year running. He shared a photo of the comedian, saying:
“Chris, please do not do the Oscars Awards. You mean a lot man, don’t do it. Please.”
The comedian who happens to be the host for this year’s award has referred to it as
“The White BET Awards.”
Coloured celebrities who had been invited for the awards, had for this same reason, turned down their invitations publicly. #Oscars #OscarsSoWhite
