Punch reports that, Col. Ojogbane Adegbe, the former Aide-de-Camp (ADC), to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, seems to be giving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) investigators a tough time. Adegbe was arrested in connection with the $2.1b arms purchase scam, involving the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki. The former ADC allegedly got N10b from the office of the NSA. Adegbe has refused to mention the names of those he gave part of the looted funds to. An EFCC source who spoke to Punch said:

“We have not made any progress. The man is insisting that he can only make statements in the presence of his lawyers. He has also refused to name the Peoples Democratic Party chieftains who benefited from the N10bn.” Adding that

“The man, I mean the former ADC to Jonathan, is still being detained by the men investigating the $2.1bn arms deal. The operatives are asking him to mention how much he received from the former NSA and to provide a list of politicians who received the funds from him but he has not done so. He is with two others.”

The source also said:

“He requested that he could only make his own statements in the presence of his lawyers. “So, the operatives investigating the case, decided to keep them (suspects) over the weekend.”

Reports say Colonel Ojogbane Adegbe was initially arrested and questioned by officers of the Military Police and Directorate of Military Intelligence in Lagos on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, and handed over to the EFCC along with seven other officers on Thursday, February 11, 2016.
