Hulk Hogan celebrated his $115million victory against Gawker by sweating it out at the gym with his wife Jennifer McDaniel and daughter Brooke on Saturday. Hogan broke down in tears on Friday when the jury awarded him $55million for economic injuries and $60million for emotional distress after the news website posted a video that showed the former wrestler having sex with his best friend’s wife.
Hogan said the video was filmed without his consent and its publication damaged his reputation and invaded his privacy, while Gawker argued it was a legitimate news story covered by the First Amendment Gawker will have to cough up an initial installment of $50million about a month from when the punitive damages are decided sometime next week.
