Mother in labour does Nae Nae dance to help with contractions

This woman gave her midwife a surprise when she went to check on her during labour and didn’t find her in bed – but dancing in the hallway. The young mum and two friends can be seen energetically moving to Silento’s Watch Me (Whip Nae Nae) in between contractions. Midwife Marsha Ford uploaded the footage of the dancing mum-to-be to Facebook. She said:

“I went looking for my patient to see how she was doing with her squatting. This is what I found in between contractions. Get that baby down mommy!”

Facebook users speculated on the video about whether or not the expecting mother was actually in labour, but the Ms Ford was quick to set the record straight, confirming she was 6cm dilated during the video.

“Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, this was a determined mommy,” she replied to one user.

In a later Facebook post the midwife confirmed the dancing mother gave birth to her baby three hours after the video was filmed.

“Well she whipped, nae nae, squatted and walked. Then this first time mom pushed out this beautiful 9lb 6.5oz baby girl with no tears. GREAT JOB MOMMA! ‪#‎birthwithoutfear
