An elderly man, Akanbi Lawal, was arrested for interrogation after police learnt he chained his son, Yusuf, to a room for two months at their house located at lfekoya street, Papa Ashafa, Agege, Lagos. According to the police, Yusuf’s friend came to the station to make a report.
Following the report, the police operatives from Dopemu division moved in and rescued the victim and brought him to the station. The chain was removed from his hands and he was taken to General hospital, Oke Odo, where he is now receiving treatment.
When quizzed, Lawal said the shameful and disgraceful attitude of Yusuf made him chain him down. Yusuf had earlier been declared missing until his friend, Tayo Olukoju, discovered him inside the room.
