This is the shocking moment a worker in a chicken factory was caught on camera stamping on a tray of chicken wings in his rubber boots. In the footage, which was filmed at a factory in Poland, the man says he is defrosting the meat.Another factory worker posted the clip to a video-sharing website where it has shocked consumers in the country after going viral.

The man, who is dressed in white overalls and rubber boots and blue gloves, is believed to be a Ukrainian migrant worker with a number of online commentators saying he appeared to be Ukrainian from his accent.

He can be heard on the video saying: “Working on defrosting chicken in Poland.”The man squashes the chicken wings down with his foot as melting ice can be seen splashing out of the plastic tray.At one point he stands on the chicken portions with both feet at the same time.

He then picks up the tray and pours it into another tray with slits in to allow the water to drain. The man goes about doing his work in such a sloppy way that pieces of chicken can be seen falling on the floor. It has prompted a controversial debate with many netizens furious at the poor hygiene conditions in the factory. But food regulation officials are currently powerless to act as it is not clear at exactly which factory the video was made.

Ukrainians are by far the largest group of foreign workers in Poland, making up at least 80 percent of all registered employees from abroad, but there are also an estimated one million illegal workers currently working in Poland.
