Manchester United’s Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho was celebrating his country’s Euro 2016 win in his pyjamas, posting a photo on Instagram with the message: “If you want to visit the country of the european champions visit PORTUGAL!!!!!!!!”

Spain and Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has hailed Stiliyan Petrov as a “true sportsman and a fighter” after the 37-year-old midfielder made his comeback during Aston Villa’s pre-season tour of Austria, just over four years after being diagnosed with acute leukaemia.
