Real Madrid have won the 2016 UEFA Super Cup last night following a 3 – 2 extra-time win over fellow La Liga club, Sevilla. Real Madrid won the 2016 Champions League while Sevilla won the UEFA Europa League title which was the pre-requisite for them to vie for the 2016 UEFA Super Cup. Sevilla controlled the game and had more of the possession but came up short in extra-time against Zinedane Zidane’s side. The European champions pull off this feat without their fearsome BBC trio made up of Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema & Cristiano Ronaldo. Hala Madrid!
