
The President of the Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick has sent his condolences following the death of NPFL defender Izu Joseph on Saturday after he was killed by a soldier.Pinnick called the father of Izu who narrated the tragic circumstances that led to his son’s death. The NFF chair advised all Nigerian footballers to mind the company they keep as they are special assets.Pinnick said to theNFF.com : “I am sorely distraught with what has happened. It is a most unfortunate incident that has brought sorrow to the Nigeria football family, barely a week after we were celebrating victory in a World Cup qualifying match.
