George Michael’s Family Tells Lover Fadi Fawaz To Tell Them The Truth About Singer’s Death
George Michael’s cousin has spoken out to ask Fadi Fawaz to explain the circumstances of the star’s death.Andros Georgiou said the singer’s lover has failed to answer questions that could solve the riddle of his final hours and help ease the family’s pain.
Andros said his family is being tormented by wild claims about the star – including that he committed suicide. He admits George was using crack and had been in a dark place before he was found dead on Christmas Day, aged 53.Writing on Facebook beside a screengrab of one of Fadi’s tweets, Andros said
“I’ve been trying to hold back on this tweet I saw 10 days ago.But the more I am reading and the more I’m finding out about Fadi I just can’t keep my mouth shut any longer.No 1 he was never with Yog [George’s nickname] 24 hours a day they never lived together he lived in one of Yog’s houses in Regents Park?And even if they were, WHY were they not together on Christmas Eve? and WHY did he sleep in the car? Too many questions have come up.”
Andros and George grew up together and the former producer toured the world with the star at the height of his success – but they fell out in 1998.
He said in 2012 he had reached out to George, telling him: “The last thing I want is one of us standing over the other’s grave, wishing he had mended the nonsense that destroyed us.”
