A shoe company sent a £100 pair of size 12 brogues to Donald Trump, along with a condom – and claims to have received this unusual reply. Lancashire-based Goodwin Smith has previously sent shoes to many world leaders as part of an ambitious marketing gimmick. Now they claim to have received a personalised reply from the reality TV star-turned-leader of the free world. The company posted a copy of its ‘letter from Trump’ on social media as shown below…
The company’s PR manager Simon Smith insists that the letter is genuine and said they had also sent shoes to Russian President Vladimir Putin. He said:
“We were very surprised. We couldn’t believe it. It’s obviously not a standard response. He’s obviously read the letter and replied.”
