Sad! Eddie Murphy's Brother Charlie Dead Dies After Losing Leukaemia Battle

Eddie Murphy’s older brother Charlie Murphy has died at the age of 57 from leukaemia. The standup comedian, who was also an actor, had been battling the blood cancer and getting treatment at the time of his death, his manager confirmed to TMZ. Charlie had been going through chemotherapy and died in a hospital in New York.

As well as a successful standup career, Charlie co-starred on Chappelle’s Show with Dave Chappelle and Neal Brennan. He also appeared in Are We There Yet, The Boondocks and Black Jesus.

According to TMZ, Charlie’s family were shocked by his passing as they thought he was getting better. Charlie leaves behind his three children – two from his marriage to Tisha Taylor Murphy, who died in 2009 from cervical cancer, and his other from a previous relationship.
